- 1 ½ lbs. stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 celery ribs, sliced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions

In a slow cooker, combine the beef, broth, onion, garlic, carrots, celery, bay leaves, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

In a small bowl, mix the flour and butter to form a paste. Stir this mixture into the stew to thicken it.

Cook for another 30 minutes on high.

Discard bay leaves and serve garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
